How can I tell my subscribers have opted in?
Under the tab Subscribers, subscribers are either unconfirmed, pending or confirmed.
  1. Unconfirmed means you have entered them in and have yet to send a welcome message requesting their confirmation to subscribe to your messaging service.
  2. Pending means you have sent the welcome message but they have not yet replied providing you permission to send them additional messages.
  3. Confirmed means they have replied to the welcome message and you can now send them your messages.

How do I send an unconfirmed subscriber a confirmation message?
Once a subscriber's information has been entered such as Customer One in the screen below, click on the underlined sentence as show with the blue arrow.

What is the difference between Confirm and Subscribe found in My Account under key words?
  • Confirm defines the key word someone will use to opt-in as a subscriber by sending a message directly from their phone unprompted by you. Hint: 95% of our clients utilize this method of opt-in as opposed to manual entry. By promoting the short code number and your key word in your marketing material, those familiar with text messaging will opt-in on the spot.
  • Subscribe defines the key word someone will use to reply to a message you have sent out after they have been manually entered into our application.

What if I cannot find my subscriber's carrier name?
Enter as "Other"

How can I measure the effectiveness of my ads and other promotional initiatives?
The most straightforward manner would be to create a single campaign with a key word for each ad or initiative. Following the run dates, you can evaluate either how many subscribers opted in or whatever other result you were expecting.

How can I block a number or outgoing messages if for example a competitor has opted in to my service?
Easily handled in 3 steps:

First, write down the area code, mobile number and carrier.
Second, delete contact from the database.
Third, reenter contact details and put in name field competitor. Leave this contact as unconfirmed and you will not be able to send or receive messages even if they try to opt-in again. It is important to leave them as "Unsubscribed".
